We regularly play for weddings (cocktail hour, ceremony, pre-ceremony, intimate receptions) and other special events (parties, banquets, corporate) in New England, the NYC tri-state area and beyond.
We would be delighted to play our part in making your event special and unique.
Our repertoire is usually a mix of joyous jigs, reels, waltzes, and arrangements of classical and popular melodies. We are happy to suggest music for your ceremony or pre-ceremony, but are always happy to work up an arrangement of your favorite melody.

I first saw Emmet and Naomi waiting for a train, and when my husband and I got engaged over a year later, I figured it was worth a shot to try and contact them via their website. They wrote back right away, and to our delight, they were so kind and were very willing to come play at our wedding both at the church and the cocktail hour. Over the next 6 months, they were a pure delight to work with. They were super accommodating and willing to play any songs we requested. They played when we walked out of the church (super fun to surprise guests with live music outside the ceremony) and then at the cocktail hour followed by when we were introduced during the main reception. Guests absolutely loved the fun and beautiful music the Poor Cousins shared with us. Perhaps the biggest honor of all was a guest remarking that our wedding was "full of music and laughter"...the exact vibe we were going for!
As I watched my fiancee walk down the aisle to the Poor Cousins' performance of "On Raglan Road," I knew it was a moment I would never forget. Naomi and Emmet were the perfect event musicians--flexible, professional, and perfectly in tune with the tone of our wedding. The beautiful music they played helped us to celebrate our rehearsal dinner and forge lifelong memories at our wedding. In the days after the event, we couldn't count how many compliments we received about our amazing musicians.
